The weight-sensitive Bed Sensor Pad reduces falls and unplanned departures by triggering a warning alarm when weight is removed from the pad. This early warning system gives the caregiver time to respond before falls happen. The Bed Sensor Pad can be easily and safely cleaned by using disinfectant wipes or an anti-bacterial cleaner. It should never be immersed in any solution. For safety reasons the Bed Sensor Pad should be replaced after the recommended pad life has expired. The Bed Sensor Pad comes in several sizes to fit a wide array of beds and various situations. All pads include a "breakaway cord" feature to protect the pad. When the cord is pulled on with significant force, the cord will breakaway from the pad, which prevents damage to the pad in the event that the cord is tripped upon or pulled on very hard.
